{"id":755,"date":"2019-04-10T10:51:30","date_gmt":"2019-04-10T10:51:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bcta.group\/attma\/?p=755"},"modified":"2019-07-01T09:59:13","modified_gmt":"2019-07-01T09:59:13","slug":"scotland-opens-consultation-on-energy-efficiency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bcta.group\/attma\/2019\/scotland-opens-consultation-on-energy-efficiency\/","title":{"rendered":"Scotland Opens Consultation on Energy Efficiency"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Scotland have opened a consultation to set out proposal for\nenergy efficiency targets which would see all homes meet Energy Performance\nCertificate (EPC) Band C by 2040. This is only where it would be cost effective\nand technically feasible. All non-domestic buildings would be assessed and\nimproved by 2040 as well, if it is technically feasible and cost effective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcta.group\/attma\/\">ATTMA<\/a> will be using data from the ATTMA lodgement system to support its submission to Energy Efficient Scotland. This will help prove that air tightness testing is important in new builds and shows the current standard of new builds. This data then can be used to help influence what is needed to be done to help upgrade the energy efficiency of existing homes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is already legislation in place that give Scottish\nMinisters, local authorities and energy suppliers, a range of powers and duties\nto<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Set energy efficiency standards for domestic and non-domestic buildings<\/li><li>Make payments for energy efficiency improvements<\/li><li>Reduce emissions and alleviate fuel poverty<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Energy Efficient Scotland have already published a Route Map\nback in May 2018, to set out a pathway to making homes and buildings warmer,\ngreener and more efficient. It set out the steps required to ensure all\ndwellings and non-dwellings are improved to reach a good level of energy\nefficiency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following on from the consultation, Energy Efficiency\nScotland will analyse and respond to the responses received.
