{"id":815,"date":"2019-04-01T10:58:05","date_gmt":"2019-04-01T10:58:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bcta.group\/attma\/?p=815"},"modified":"2019-05-29T08:59:08","modified_gmt":"2019-05-29T08:59:08","slug":"attma-responds-to-the-introduction-of-inspection-of-stand-alone-ventilation-study","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bcta.group\/attma\/2019\/attma-responds-to-the-introduction-of-inspection-of-stand-alone-ventilation-study\/","title":{"rendered":"ATTMA responds to the Introduction of Inspection of Stand-alone Ventilation Study"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) have conducted\na feasibility study on the possible introduction of inspection of stand-alone\nventilation systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the survey was to <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Understand the perception of drivers of and barriers to the improvement of the overall performance of stand-alone ventilation systems.<\/li><li>Collect information on initiatives and schemes to promote and improve the overall performance of stand-alone ventilation systems, including thorough inspection<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ATTMA have responded to this invitation-only study and support\nthe mandatory inspection for stand-alone ventilation systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stand-alone ventilation systems are defined as ventilation systems\nwhose sole function is to ventilate a building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EPBD, amending Directive (EU) 2018\/844 which entered\ninto force in July 2018 introduced some new provisions. Article 19a introduces\nthe requirement to perform a feasibility study addressing the possible\nintroduction of inspections of stand-alone ventilation system <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study that concerns the inspection of stand-alone ventilation\nsystems includes an overview of the stock of ventilation systems installed in Europe\nand relation technological trends and a review of mandatory and voluntary\ninspection schemes of ventilation systems in buildings at EU and national\nlevels.
