The course consists of a one day training course run by ATTMA which aims to teach testers who already have experience with air tightness testing, or have recently completed the ATTMA Level 1 training course, how to conduct air tightness testing in accordance with the new ATTMA PHT Technical Standard L4 – Air Leakage of Low Energy and Passivhaus Buildings. ATTMA PHT TSL4 was co-authored by the Passivhaus Trust.
The course will consist of some theory behind low leakage testing, including minimum flow rates and calibration minimum and maximums and the calculation of volumes using the room by room method as preferred by The Passivhaus Institute.
The course aims to highlight and stop the mistakes that can often occur when testing Passivhaus buildings, such as over pressurisation and incorrect calculation of volumes.
There is no exam to sit. Candidates will be provided with a CPD certificate and their status will be automatically upgraded on the ATTMA Lodgement System.
