SITMA Certified Sound Insulation Testers are independently audited and certified, with a scope covering sound insulation testing to ISO 140-4<\/a> & ISO 140-7<\/a>, demonstrating knowledge and understanding, which enables them to test domestic developments (dwellings, care homes and hotels) in accordance with relevant UK building regulations.<\/p>\n

Current<\/td>A SITMA Certified Tester who has successfully demonstrated that they have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform their role competently and in line with the recognised industry standards and procedures.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Part 1<\/td>Certified by SITMA to conduct Airborne wall\/floor testing done in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-4:1998 and BS EN ISO 717-1:1997<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Part 2<\/td>Certified by SITMA to conduct Impact Floor testing done in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-7:1998 and BS EN ISO 717-2:1997<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Suspended<\/td>The tester has had their SITMA certification temporarily suspended. While suspended the tester shall not utilise SITMA branding, advertise themselves as SITMA certified, or conduct any sound testing for the purposes of Building Regulation compliance.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Withdrawn<\/td>The tester has had their SITMA certification revoked.
