It describes the use of two impact sources:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tapping Machine<\/strong>: Suitable for assessing light, hard impacts such as footsteps from individuals wearing hard-heeled footwear or dropped objects.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rubber Ball<\/strong>: Suitable for assessing heavy, soft impacts such as barefoot walking or children jumping.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The test results can be used to quantify, assess, and compare impact sound insulation in both furnished and unfurnished rooms, regardless of whether the sound field approximates a diffuse field.
