This intensive 1-day advanced envelope area training course is tailored for professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in envelope area and volume modelling using SketchUp. Developed in alignment with ATTMA standards, the course equips participants with the skills required to model complex building envelopes in 3D, preparing them for the Envelope Area (EA) qualification.
Participants should already understand how to calculate envelope areas and volumes for air tightness testing. Familiarity with SketchUp is essential, including tasks such as setting up templates, importing and scaling drawings, and modelling buildings in line with relevant standards. This knowledge is typically gained from the basic course.
Attendees must bring a laptop capable of running SketchUp, a mouse with a scroll wheel, and either a scientific calculator or smartphone for calculations.
This course provides the advanced modelling skills needed for complex air tightness testing scenarios. It supports progression toward the EA qualification and enables companies to expand their testing capabilities under ATTMA guidelines.
This course is suitable for those already working in air tightness testing or envelope area calculations and who are aiming to qualify for Level 2 testing under ATTMA.
