Dry Appliance Installer Course Content

Throughout the course, learners develop the knowledge to identify factors affecting appliance selection, including customer needs, fuel types, air supply requirements and site‑specific considerations. Training covers the operating principles of solid fuel and biomass appliances, recognising component parts, understanding flue and chimney design, and assessing factors that influence appliance location.

You will learn how to calculate heat output requirements, determine safe clearances from combustibles and apply key Building Regulation requirements. Practical learning includes testing and diagnosing common installation issues, checking flue integrity, identifying typical installation hazards and carrying out basic remedial steps.
