Chimneys & Flue Training

The Chimneys & Flues course provides a clear and structured introduction to chimney and flue requirements for solid fuel appliances. Delivered at The Building Performance Hub, this one‑day module combines theory with practical demonstrations to help candidates understand safe installation, inspection methods and the performance factors that affect chimney and flue systems in real buildings.

This course supports progression through the wider HETAS pathway. It builds on the foundational HETAS Core Module and acts as an essential stepping stone toward specialist appliance or installation courses. Candidates will gain a working understanding of definitions, principles, design requirements and the suitability checks needed for new and existing chimney or flue arrangements.
