The Building Performance is now part of the Cleaner Safer Group, alongside ATTMA, SITMA and other respected bodies including HETAS and Woodsure. Under the leadership of Barry Cope, CEO of Cleaner Safer Group, the Hub continues to play a central role in supporting competence, quality and consistency across the built environment, while remaining true to its original purpose.

The Hub offers a comprehensive programme of building performance courses, with particular expertise in Air Tightness, Sound Insulation and Ventilation Testing. In addition to its core specialisms, the Hub supports a broad range of industry training as an approved delivery partner for multiple awarding and certification bodies.

It also provides flexible options for organisations seeking bespoke training or access to specialist facilities, making it a versatile environment for professional development.

The Building Performance Hub is equipped with specialist, purpose built training facilities designed to reflect real-world conditions. This approach ensures learners benefit from genuinely practical, hands-on experience rather than classroom-only or hotel based delivery. The facilities use full scale models and industry standard equipment to replicate site scenarios, all within a controlled, safe supportive training environment.

Barry Cope, CEO of Cleaner Safer Group, explains:
“As a testing and compliance industry, we do not want to simply add to the noise telling construction it is not doing enough. We want to be part of the solution by educating, training and supporting competence across the sector.”

He adds:
“Too much training still takes place in hotel meeting rooms or generic classrooms. The Building Performance Hub changes that by offering a dedicated, state‑of‑the‑art facility that can be adapted for a wide range of building performance disciplines, using real, life‑size models and practical methods rather than death by PowerPoint.”
