The Building Performance Hub is the only dedicated UK facility for the education and physical hands on training for building performance products and applications.
The Building Performance Hub provides education, training, research and development and certification specialising in quality, sustainable buildings.
Financed by the BCTA Group, which incorporates ATTMA & SITMA, The Building Performance Hub consists of an entire house built by our partners Huws Gray, a sound transmission suite for specialist acoustic and sound insulation training and R&D and is filled with specialised rigs to ensure all training is hands-on, which is the best way to learn, all in a real world but warm, safe environment.
Barry Cope, Group Director adds: “We as a testing industry do not want to join the cacophony of voices telling the construction industry it isn’t doing good enough and be part of the solution to educate and train the industry to improve”.
The BCTA Group provides training around their own specialisms, namely air tightness & sound insulation testing, and also brings in industry professionals to deliver courses at the facility.
Mr Cope adds: “Far too much training takes place in hotels and in the meeting rooms of companies. The Building Performance Hub changes that, offering a state of the art facility that can be adapted for all training courses, using real, life-size models and not death by PowerPoint!”.
