Entry Requirements

Candidates are expected to have completed HETAS Core Knowledge and must also meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Relevant, demonstrable experience working with solid fuel or combustion appliances
  • OFTEC technician qualification (e.g. 101, 102 or 105e)
  • Gas Safe registration with appropriate modules (e.g. CCN1 & HTR1

Certification

On successful completion, candidates will receive a HETAS Statement of Results, confirming their competence in the service and maintenance of dry solid fuel appliances.

Progression

Successful candidates can go on to register with HETAS as a Service Technician, allowing them to offer recognised servicing and maintenance services within the solid fuel sector.
