SITMA Certified Sound Insulation Testers are independently audited and certified, with a scope covering sound insulation testing to ISO 140-4 & ISO 140-7, demonstrating knowledge and understanding, which enables them to test domestic developments (dwellings, care homes and hotels) in accordance with relevant UK building regulations.

Part 1 | Certified by SITMA to conduct Airborne wall/floor testing done in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-4:1998 and BS EN ISO 717-1:1997 |
Part 2 | Certified by SITMA to conduct Impact Floor testing done in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-7:1998 and BS EN ISO 717-2:1997 |
Suspended | The tester has had their SITMA certification temporarily suspended. While suspended the tester shall not utilise SITMA branding, advertise themselves as SITMA certified, or conduct any sound testing for the purposes of Building Regulation compliance. |
Withdrawn | The tester has had their SITMA certification revoked. Testers who have had their certification revoked are no longer authorised to utilise SITMA branding, advertise themselves as SITMA certified, access the SITMA Lodgement Portal, or conduct sound testing for the purposes of Building Regulation compliance. |
