ATTMA Appear on the BBC as Technical Experts

ATTMA Scheme Manager Barry Cope on the BBC

ATTMA today (Friday 12 October 2018) appeared on the BBC as technical experts.

Episode 20, Series 10 of Rip Off Britain featured the ATTMA Scheme Manager, Barry Cope, making comment on the current state of The Building Regulations, highlighting failures with sample testing, the Building Regulations not being fit for purpose and the serious conflict of interest of national housebuilders conducting their own testing.

In the episode, Gloria Hunniford, Angela Rippon and Julia Somerville battle on behalf of viewers who feel they have had a raw deal, including the homeowners who say their new-build properties have fallen far short of expectations – and it has not been easy to get their problems resolved. Plus the jobseekers who have been left out of pocket and wondering if a line has been crossed between work experience and exploitation. And, after complaints of unexpected costs and charges, why some say a shake-up of the funeral industry has been a long time coming.
