The ATTMA has today responded to the BRE Home Quality Mark Consultation with its response focussed on better quality control of both Air Tightness and Ventilation:
- The ATTMA has made it clear to HQM that 100% testing is the only real way of controlling quality consistently, which must be carried out by a tester independent of the construction company.
- The ATTMA has also made it clear to HQM that ventilation must be carried out by an independent tester on all plots and not signed off by the installing engineer, which is causing issues in the current marketplace.
