The number of new homes that have been completed across the UK has risen to a 11-year high at 173,000 in June 2019. It’s an 8% increase compared to June 2018.
This relates to the record breaking number of lodgements ATTMA had in June with over 18.6k lodgements recorded in June.
However the number of home completions have dropped by 2% compared to the first quarter of 2019, and 8% on the same three months in 2019.
MHCLG figures come as the recent NHF supply survey of housebuilding by housing associations found that there was an increase of 23.5% on the homes that were started in the first quarter of 2019/20 compared to the same period in 2019.
The figures also showed that the number of housing associations completions in the 12 month to end of June stood at 45,414.
