Letter to the Industry – Calibration Delay

ATTMA Letter to the Industry

Dear Scheme Members
RE: Calibration Delay at Stroma Built Environment

ATTMA has been made aware of a forthcoming calibration issue at Stroma, due to the sad passing of a key member of staff. Our thoughts and prayers go to the family of said staff member.

This situation will have an effect on calibration of equipment for the next 6 weeks. ATTMA has therefore put the following contingencies in place:

For members that previously had their equipment calibrated at Stroma, and is due:
Continue testing and use the calibration variables given to you at your last calibration. You must make a note in the deviations box for tests where the calibration is greater than 12 months, which will be passed through the ATTMA Lodgement Deviations System without interruption. Please use this letter as evidence if questioned by Building Control. This exemption will last until 31st March 2023 and will be extended if required, as requested by Stroma.

For members that have their kit in with Stroma, but cannot have their certificates released:
Please test with your new kit and use your old calibration variables. You must make a note in the deviations box to explain that the older calibration variables have been used, which will be passed through the ATTMA Lodgement Deviations System without interruption. Once you receive your certificates, please update your software and continue as normal.

For members that have their kit in with Stroma, but has not yet been calibrated:
Please contact Stroma to discuss the plan. You may choose to collect your kit and book in at a later date. If so, please use one of the above two options.

If you have any questions or wish to discuss how best to use your equipment, please contact us on our usual numbers.
