Never allow my technical judgment to be overruled by any colleague, senior or otherwise.
Never test, without declaring, where there is a conflict of interest. This could be perceived or actual and could include, but not limited to: a) Testing a site that you personally have designed or carried out design reviews, or provided consultancy on; b) Testing a site that has been constructed by anyone that you may be directly affiliated with, such as but not limited to: • The person or company that employs you. • Someone that owns a portion of your company, no matter the size • Someone that is a shareholder
Always declare object deviations to the test standard(s) and to declare subjective test conditions.
Code of Conduct – Maintaining Standards
ATTMA Members agree to the following
never knowingly compromise in, following the spirit of the letter, of the relevant building codes, regulations and standards, particularly where commercial advantage would be attained by doing so.
be aware at all times of and uphold the provisions / requirements of the relevant building code, regulations and standards under which work is being undertaken.
never falsify nor permit misrepresentation of your academic or professional qualifications, membership, or scope of this Scheme’s certification.
not to make unjustifiable statements, inducements, etc, or from performing unethical acts which would discredit the ADVCCS.
act promptly to prevent or rectify any violation(s)of codes, regulations, or standards.
maintain my proficiency by updating my knowledge as required to properly operate in this field.
immediately cease to offer certified services (using ADVCCS certification to satisfy the Building Regulations) when ADVCCS certification has been suspended, cancelled or withdrawn and to remove all references to ADVCCS membership from all promotional material and contract / test documentation in line with ‘PUV014 – Suspension & Withdrawal’.
Not to advertise using the ADVCCS logo in any way that could be misinterpreted as indicating registration for non-registered activities in accordance with ‘PUV003 – Use of Scheme Logo’.
Accept revisions to this Code of Conduct whenever ADVCCS reasonably make and reissue them.
Immediately report, in detail, to ADVCCS, any perceived violations of this code of conduct by other individuals or companies.
Never to pressure or force an individual certified under the ADVCCS certification Scheme to violate this code of conduct.
Inform the scheme management without delay of matters that can affect your capability to continue fulfilling your ADVCCS certification requirements, such as but not limited to: a) No longer owning the correct equipment b) An issue with physical ability to conduct testing c) Changes in ownership or conflicts of interest
Code of Conduct – Lodgement
ATTMA Members agree to the following
Ensure all tests conducted are lodged, including fails and retests in accordance with ‘PUV006 – Lodgement Process, Rules and Guidance’.
Ensure information uploaded to the Scheme is accurate.
Failure to comply with the above Code of Conduct stipulations will be dealt with under ‘PUV014 – Suspension & Withdrawal’.
