ATTMA is Hiring – Site Liason / Technical Support

Headline Role Description
Due to the continued growth within ATTMA it is seeking a new staff member will continue to raise awareness of ATTMA at site level whilst supporting members with various technical queries. The staff member will mainly focus on auditing both off and on-site, providing support and oversight with complex buildings and act quickly in dispute resolution situations. The new staff member will be the first port of call for on the ground testers, building control and other industry stakeholders. It is an exciting and varied role.

Site Based Auditing
It is proposed that the new staff member will conduct auditing at least two, but up to 4 days per week auditing for both air and sound testing.
Auditing is an ongoing requirement that is an essential part of the scheme and a valuable tool to the testers and ATTMA, as this is one of the few times ATTMA staff members get face to face with its customers.

Tester Liaison
A significant number of enquiries come through phone calls and emails from our members that want to discuss the future, direction, technical aspects and generally give feedback to the members and stakeholders. The new staff member will be the liaison and talk to the testers and feedback their comments to the Scheme Manager or Technical Manager.

The new staff member will also be used to very quickly attend site to handle any situations that might occur (within reason) or to simply be in attendance to dissuade contractors from behaving badly, thus increasing visibility.

Technical Support
In line with the Liaison, the new staff member will be required in the office 1 or 2 days per week to support the administration of the scheme, organise auditing and to cover the scheme manager / technical manager annual leave. Therefore it is preferable for the candidate to be based within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.

Training of testers

Mandatory Skills
– A high level of technical knowledge and experience in air tightness and sound insulation testing
– Knowledge and understanding of the construction process for new buildings.
– A good knowledge of MS Office
– Attention to detail
– Effective & clear communication, both written and verbal
– Experience in both an office & site environment,
– Business to business sales.
– Ability to work unattended
– Clean Driving licence (no more than 3 points)
